Family-law matters Beamer Law handles
Andrew represents parents, spouses, grandparents, and other family members in Knox and Blount Counties. The first task is identifying what the court can do, what evidence will matter, and whether the situation requires immediate action.
- Contested and uncontested divorce
- Parenting plans and child custody
- Child support and modifications
- Emergency custody and temporary orders
- Grandparents’ rights
- Dependency and neglect proceedings
- Orders of protection and related family matters
Custody and parenting plans
Tennessee courts focus on the child’s best interests. A persuasive custody case depends on more than general statements about being a good parent. The court may consider each parent’s history of caregiving, stability, communication, ability to support the child’s relationship with the other parent, and the practical details of a proposed schedule.
Andrew helps clients organize the facts, identify useful records and witnesses, and develop a parenting proposal that is both legally supportable and workable in daily life.
Divorce
A divorce may require decisions about property, debt, support, parenting, and temporary living arrangements before the case can be concluded. Early choices can affect both settlement and trial. Andrew works with clients to distinguish the issues that can be resolved from those that require focused litigation.
Emergency and juvenile matters
Some family cases involve allegations of immediate danger, rapidly approaching hearings, or state intervention. If a hearing or deadline is close, call the office and state the date. Availability cannot be guaranteed, but timing is essential to evaluating the situation.
