Andrew was born in Blacksburg and grew up in Southwest Virginia on a farm that had been in the Beamer family for generations. His early interest in history and culture took him to VCU for his undergraduate degree, where he majored in Religious Studies and spent a semester abroad in St Petersburg, Russia. He earned a law degree from Barry University in Orlando, Florida in 2009. 

Moving to Knoxville in 2010 to begin a law practice was a natural choice for Andrew—his family has extensive ties to the area. In 1948 his grandfather came to the University of Tennessee to take a position in the School of Education. Shortly thereafter, Andrew's father, a Vietnam veteran and CPA, was the first boy born at the now-defunct Baptist Hospital. Both of Andrew’s parents earned graduate degrees at UT, as did his uncle Rufus Beamer, a prominent member of Knoxville’s legal community for over forty years. 

Andrew grew up in an environment that emphasized political and community involvement. His mother was a probation officer in Knoxville and became a social worker specializing in substance abuse counseling. She was a vocal advocate for substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation throughout the states of Virginia and North Carolina until her unexpected death from breast cancer in 2011. 

Since 2010, Andrew has represented thousands of clients, both through his private practice and as court-appointed counsel to indigent and disabled defendants. In civil litigation involving personal injury and employment discrimination, Andrew has successfully litigated in both federal and state courts against some of the largest corporations in America.  In family law Andrew has represented hundreds of children and parents in all areas of Juvenile Court, this has included arguing before the Appellate Court for the Eastern District multiple times on Termination of Parental Rights, Grandparents Visitation, and other related areas.  In criminal law Andrew has successfully defended clients charged with major felonies this includes victories in trials overseen by the senior Judge for the State of Tennessee.
